FAQs > What if I want to trade with margin but I’ve already lent funds in the C3 lending market?
You cannot have a borrowed position at the same time as a lending position for the same asset. If you are trading with margin but already have an active lending position of the asset you are borrowing, C3 will take into account those assets when you are creating your margin order. This means that as soon as you submit your margin order your lend assets will be automatically redeemed.
When creating your margin order, below the orange Margin slider you will see a breakdown of what C3 redeems versus how much you are borrowing.
